Lancelot the Spoken—also known as Lance from Upstate—is a poet, musician, advocate, and servant. A leader devoted to truth, justice, and the restoration of human connection. Born in the Green Mountains of Vermont and raised in rural upstate New York, his life has been guided by both duty and a deeper spiritual calling.

At 17, Lance answered the call to serve, enlisting in the U.S. Army Infantry and training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He later deployed to Afghanistan with Task Force Iron and the New York Army National Guard’s 27th Infantry Brigade, becoming a combat veteran at the age of 22. Continuing his commitment to protect and serve, he spent over 11 years in law enforcement, rising through the ranks as a detective and sergeant, while also serving as a drug recognition expert, field training officer, instructor, and drill instructor at the Zone Five Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy. His work extended to the narcotics task force and emergency response team—roles that demanded both courage and integrity in the pursuit of justice.

Lance’s path has also been one of personal transformation. Having grown up around addiction and later facing his own battle with alcoholism, he chose the road of sobriety, healing, and accountability. Through that journey, he developed a profound understanding of the human condition—recognizing that true justice must be rooted in compassion, truth, and the courage to confront both inner and outer darkness.

Guided by faith, spirituality, and a deep respect for the natural world, Lance stepped away from law enforcement to dedicate his life to healing and service. As an outdoorsman and advocate for holistic wellness, he works to help veterans, first responders, and individuals reconnect—with themselves, with nature, and with a higher purpose.

Through his poetry, music, writing, and lived experience, Lance is building Guts and Glory Ranch—a future sanctuary and organic farm centered on healing, unity, and growth. This vision is grounded in a commitment to support those who have carried the weight of service, while also protecting and nurturing the next generation. He believes that creating a better world begins with restoring truth, strengthening community, and ensuring that children inherit a future rooted in integrity, balance, and hope.

Lance stands firmly in the principles of love, truth, and justice—honoring the Father Creator, respecting Mother Earth, and working each day to leave the world better than he found it.
